The (PIN-UP) Exception

There is a quote from the 1994 movie The Shawshank Redemption starring Morgan Freeman: “Some birds are not meant to be caged; their colors are just too bright.”

The dictionary says it best: prison can be defined as “any place of confinement or involuntary restraint.” For the soldier, this can be Basic Training or deployment. For the mother, it can be the house full of children. For the girlfriend, it can be a relationship. It can be any place that one does not feel free to leave, including a career or social position.

Free spirits often long to spread their wings and fly. Those who do not possess these flapping wings should note that free spirits do not always need to be finding a new place to settle. Often, they simply need to feel free to do as they please.

Left unchecked, free spirit behavior can be destructive to the individual and others around them. Free spirits have a responsibility to inform those they choose to become intimate with as to their true nature. It is difficult for a person who does not feel the need to keep flapping to understand those who do, so it is important that the free spirit explains this tendency at the outset.

Should free spirits get married, have children, or attempt to maintain committed relationships? Not necessarily. Each person is responsible for knowing them self before entering a committed relationship. Although the more radical free spirit behavior typically settles down before age 30, free spirits should attempt to be aware of what sort of relationship they are capable of undertaking.

There is a lot of joy involved in loving a free spirit! These types of individuals can produce insight and inspiration that would otherwise remain unknown. The spirit, heart, and pride with which free spirits tackle daily problems can produce moments that take your breath away. If you can win the heart of a free spirit, then treasure her or him for every moment that you can.

// 1:32pm reflecting in the library//

Ive come to realize that: Homework must be done in the school’s environment with other students to help me stay on task. Its no way on earth that I can finish my homework while at home. I will find something else to do wit my time even if it is just waisting 5hrs surfing the web. NO BUENO

Right now I feel like im never goin to graduate from this school, I am still young tho so i got plenty of time, right??  -__-

I dont knw what to do with my life, I just cant find a niche & stick with it. I can do so many things with my talent. This weekend I made a watch and a bracelet. Last weekend I made a pair of earrings. Next weekend I plan to make a leather folder (purse). The weekend after that I want to design t-shirts. why??? am I like this??? Cant I just find one things and stick to it?? no because I have to constantly switch up doing things or I get bored easily. This may seem great but it actually sucks -__-

On the brighter side of things my aunt said she had a dream about me. I was modeling clothes & showing “important” ppl my works of art. Yes God I would love that, seems like something I wud b proud to do. However, the road to get there is not easy. The day to day challenges are a struggle. I hate procrastination and it seems like wen i get to the mid-point of the semester I begin to procrastinate. I wish I cud be rid of this demon of laziness.

I was thinking working out in the morning may help me to be more active during the day and combat my lazy spells I have. Its getting warmer outside so I might just consider that. plus vitamins & water may do the trick. Idk, but i have got to figure something out.

It looks like this will be my season of growth. When you first start out doing something you are excited about it and you are ready to give it all of what you got. After awhile you begin to dread it and do very little to get by. It seems as if we treat most things in our life in that manner. I dont want to be that person, I want to give every aspect of my life all that I have & put my best effort forward.

// In the fullness of time…//

 “In the fullness of time…” I am not a patient person. It’s something I’ve struggled with my whole life. But one thing God keeps doing to nudge me closer to patient is remind me of His always-just-in-time calendar of events. I look back over the course of my life and marvel at how often something I prayed for, yearned for, waited for, cried for finally came to fruition—but not a moment too soon. Why did You take so long, God! we lament, railing against the heavens like Scarlett O’Hara in the radish garden. But if we’re honest we’ll probably see that God’s actions in our lives, and the lives of those we love, occurred just in the nick of time. Just at the right time. In the fullness of time.

The phrase reminds me of a woman carrying a child. Happy to be pregnant, she grows weary by degrees as the months of pregnancy draw on, but always before her is the expectation of her baby—the culmination of her hopes in the fullness of time. In a similar way, God places just the right person in our lives at just the right time.

remember that a single day can change the entire course of your life. You may wake up tomorrow and see a face you’ve never seen before—and in that face you might meet a person who changes your life forever. You may be closer to that “fullness of time” than you think!

// Be you!!//

Don’t play dumb! Don’t play conservative, if you’re not! Don’t play anything — be yourself! If a man is looking for you to mute your music, then he’s not the man for you. You can only be someone else for so long before your true self comes out. And, it’s usually too late then. So, it’s best for you to stay true to the light God gave you and let it shine!

// Real Love isn’t Tied to Drama//

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…” 1 Corinthians 13:4

we are bombarded with so many images of disconcerted “love” that it’s easy to forget the true essence of what it means to love and be loved, but if you follow the simple words of that scripture, you’re well on your way to a healthy and fulfilling relationship — romantic or otherwise.

Most relationships tend to be the antithesis of that scripture on love. If we pay attention, we know the difference between a sane relationship and one that is not.

Real love is all around us! Even though we are constantly fed bad information about love, we all know what it is supposed to be and feel like. I refuse to believe that love is contentious. And no matter what anyone says or does, I will always believe in the sanity of love.

Core Values & Goals Do.

I was reading an article & found some great stuff:

A few ways to measure a man with biblical principles amd standards are:

1:Measuring him by his spiritual maturity in Christ
2:Measure him by his moral purity
3:Measure him by his humility
